This is a composite panorama of 11 (vertical) images stitched together in photoshop. It was raining & extremely cold - almost icy wind driving straight at me, so the light here is not good but it's what it was on the day. I'll try to get back there another time when the sun's out & some of the many vegetable gardens have stuff growing in them. This is taken from the battlements of the Citadel.

In the village church. This was very difficult to photograph due to width, lighting etc. I've ended up merging 3 images together to get the whole thing in, but I'm not happy with the angle of the window - caused by pointing the wide-angle up in the air, but it's better than not having a record of it at all :)

Went for a walk this morning, but didn't fancy lugging a rucksack full of camera kit with me. Put my little panasonic compact in my pocket just in case & this is one of the few shots I cam up with. It's actually a 3 shot composite panorama with a little LR colorisation :)

multi-image panorama created in photoshop. I made this at the end of last year & never got round to uploading it, not sure why. Flooded for the first time since 1994, hopefully won't become a regular occurence!

In the valley of the Vonne, important monumental remains of a Gallo-Roman sanctuary. Between the 1st and 4th century, Sanxay was an important centre for cures and pilgrimages placed under the protection of two divinities. Set in the verdant valley of the Vonne, the remains of the largest buildings (temples, amphitheatre, thermal baths) located throughout a 19-hectare site make the sanctuary one of the best preserved and most interesting of the monuments belonging to Gallo-roman times.

Entre Poitiers et Niort, dans le cadre verdoyant de la vallée de la Vonne, découvrez le site gallo-romain de Sanxay, un important lieu de cure thermale et de pèlerinage du Ier au IVe siècle de notre ère. Qui fut inventé en 1881 par le père Delacroix.
