Shifting sand dunes (Wydmy ruchome) in Slovinski National Park, Poland

The greatest attraction of this park stretching along the Baltic Sea coast (between Rowy and Łeba) are the shifting sand dunes, which, as they move, uncover dead tree stumps - the fossilized remains of forests once growing here. The biggest dune rises to 42 meters above sea level.

The lakes of Łebsko and Gardno are an important refuge for aquatic birds. Various plant colonies in the Słowiński National Park are of special interest. They range from the dune and pioneer plant species on the sandy beaches to the typical coastal pinewood and marsh plants in the numerous peat bogs and on the lakeshores. The park is inhabited by a number of rare bird species including the white tailed eagle, the eagle owl, cormorant, the black stork, and many species of aquatic birds.

The park has been recorded on the UNESCO list of World Biosphere Reserves. It is also under the protection of the RAMSAR International Convention.

The Slovinski National Park is visited by thousands of tourists, fond of the beauty and variability of its landscape. In order to maintain one of the most precious tie of indigenous nature, which undoubtedly is The Land of Water, Wind and Sand, there have been allocated only selected areas of the Park for tourism practicing as well as special regulations have been introduced for sightseeing there.

There was no sunny weather during my stay there, but luckely I could shoot some quite decent pictures, as I finnaly bought myself a Hitech Grad ND 0.9 hard! This will be very useful for me in time lapse videos especially :)

Please check some other pictures on the internet from this amazing location, they are really more convincing and far less minimalistic :)

Note: One RAW picture edited in Photoshop and Hitech Grad ND 0.9 hard used - sky was a little too dark for it, but I really enjoy it that way :)

Another night of shooting with my friend (he doesn't have a flickr account yet, but hopefully soon he will) And many thanks to him for getting me there!

This time it's the Old Market Square in Poznań, Poland with the 16th century Renaissance Town Hall, surrounded by historic tenement houses. This is the favorite meeting spot for tourists and a business meeting place at lively open-air restaurants.

In the middle of the parapet of the Town Hall (in the middle of the picture) there is a small tower with a clock and a mechanism that controls two goats. The current mechanism behind the goats dates from the end of the 20th century. The goats bump heads daily at 12:00 noon.

Well, it was a very nice and sunny day. Finally, me and my friend have decided to find some nice place and take several pictures of a sunset.

Luckely for us this setting of the sun was woderful just like the day, however in a rush we couldn't find any place which would meet our expectations. Finally we pulled up to shoot a new shopping center with a late sunset in the background, but our efforts didn't produce any spectacular results.

After all, we had a stoppage at petrol station to take some more photos. Here is one of them.

Note: No tonemapping and HDR. Digital Blending of 2 exposures, using layers and opacity. One exposure for sky and shelter and the other one for the bottom of the picture.

Unfortunately it came out very underexposured so I had to lighten it up in photoshop a lot :(

The Jasna Góra Monastery (Polish: Jasna Góra, English: Bright Mount, Hungarian: Fényes Hegy, Latin: Clarus Mons) in Częstochowa, Poland is the most famous shrine to the Virgin Mary in Poland and the country's greatest place of pilgrimage - for many its spiritual capital. Michał Przysiężny is a player of great talent, his greatest strengths includes his dominant groundstrokes, especially the powerful forehand. While his jump serve is also one of the major weapons.

I play tennis a lot and I love watching it professional on TV, but what makes me a strong impression is watching it live.

Unfortunately, this time Michał Przysiężny lost a quarter final match against Spanish player, Martin Alberto. I wish him good luck next time.

By the way, doesn't he look here a little like Hugh Jackman? :)

I was about 10 meters (32 feet) away waiting for the start, but seems like man stuck a stick too much and it stuck. :)

I felt that huge blow in my chest, but luckily I've taken a quite good picture without tripod.
