This local community centre and the red building behind it that is a covered in car park is due for demolition and the local people were worried about loosing their mosaic that you can see but after a lot of community campaigning the demolition firm will now save the wall mosaic that will eventually be re-erected, a good result for a change.

On a pleasant spring day walking in Sandy heath a section of Hampstead heath I notice these trees growing in the middle of a pond the trees are much older than the pond as this area used to be a sand and gravel quarry that is now abandoned. The holes left after the quarry finished have now filled up with spring water there are about four ponds around here nature has taken over and its really great now with loads of butterflies and wild flowers all over the place.

Last month I was using this outside cafe and had a small robin pay me a visit but today it is a large crow eyeing me up so I shared and he likes cheese flavoured crisps this is the Brewhouse cafe Kenwood house and is open all year round.

In the past this old drinking trough was used for horses and probably for the sheep that once grazed on Hampstead heath.It is just the right size for a bath!!

This wall faces the sun and today is the first reasonably warm sunny day from the freeze up spring and some are just hanging out here at Camden lock a matter of nowhere to go and nothing to do for this guy and getting the warmth from the sun.

Enjoying a bowl of pea soup and bread outside Kenwood house cafe I got a visit from this local robin in his own territory I took the hint and shared some bread so I got my photo of him OK.

Over the years the rain and frost have eroded this grassy area in Hampstead Heath and not far from here there is a boggy patch this section is called Priors Field.

Another glass building nears completion by Euston Tower and Warren street station this area is gradually filling up with these modern glass structures and they don't take long being built either.During the daylight hours they act as perfect mirrors but at night they can be seen through if the lights are on inside.

This is just another tree fallen victim to Camden council ready for the chop this is not the only sign I have seen on a tree in the borough of Camden. There must be an ongoing purge on trees thought to be a danger to the public a pity really to think that these trees have been around longer than most houses.

I noticed this stall by Camden lock for 'well hung' and as my eyes are not so good I was wondering for what but when I got closer I could see the small word hammock - my curiosity was cured.

Today I bought this didgeridoo from the Stables market Camden town I cannot play one yet but maybe I will have a go and see what happens! I have seen one being played before by a busker in Camden and he looked like he was an Australian Aborigine. Clif..see if you can make one in your shed that would be a challenge.

Walking around the Stables market today I had the luck from these three young models to pose for a shot from my camera. I walk through this market when I go shopping for groceries its a short cut to the bus stop I use. I wonder if those dresses will come back into fashion ?
