Taken near Sur in Oman.
I went for a beach walk towards a small fishing village. The sun was setting. I saw this rather tatty incomplete building and used it as a silhouette.
The bird adds so much in my view.

I was walking around at Byblos, Lebanon, when I saw these lights on a paved foreground facing the sea. As the sun began to set the lights came on.
A pleasant small town just north of hectic Beirut.

Bateman's Tower, Brightlingsea, Essex.
My compact camera has a sunset mode which is in effect a sunset filter. The sun was in a perfect position for this.

The sun has just slipped below the rocks leaving a golden orange sky. I previously posted a picture taken a few minutes earlier

Whenever I visit my family in Brightlingsea, Essex, I take my camera and go out to the sea for the sunset. It is a super location for sunsets. I have posted quite a few and this is like some others. I like the small birds in the sky.

Laos is a very calm and quiet country when compared to Vietnam. It has a population of about 8 million. Luang Prabang is the second city and the main tourist attraction.

Here a trainee buddhist monk talks to an artist. Buddhism is more of a way of life than a religion. It accepts evolution (as it is a proven fact so should all religions!) and does not have the fanciful theories of the monotheistic religions.

The trainee monks enter the temple for schooling. They tend to come form the poor country areas of laos.
