jhoweaa posted a photo:

This is a shot of the Atlas statue at Rockefeller Center, just across the street from St. Patrick's Cathedral. Processing consisted mainly of using Lightroom to control some of the highlights and Silver Efex Pro 2 to convert to black and white.
Bus Depot

jhoweaa posted a photo:

This is a close-up shot of the 'Bus' sign at the Ann Arbor Greyhound Bus Depot. The depot is a cool deco building sandwiched in with some newer buildings. The sign has obviously seen better days. I tweaked the color because I wanted to bring out the color in the sign which has faded away. The background used to be blue and the lettering was yellow.

I'm not sure the fragmented shot of this sign works as well as the State Theatre shots. I was going for something abstract focusing on texture, shapes and faded color rather than trying to capture the sign content itself. I definitely think this looks better on a black background. I'm curious what others think.

This is part of a 3 part mural found at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. The mural is called Wisdom, Light and Sound by Lew Lawrie and this is the 'Wisdom' portion. Next time I'm in New York I'll try to get all three. I really love the Art Deco features of Rockefeller Plaza. I was in New York on business and I didn't have a lot of spare time to just capture it all. Maybe next time.
