Another angle of the natural arch on Moray coastline, northern Scotland. I prefer the composition of this one but it doesn't quite have enough aurora in it for me.
Summer Aurora 05/08/2011, Moray, Scotland

Kenny Muir posted a photo:

I'm thinking this could become very addictive. After receiving an alert on my phone and finding the kp had shot up to 8 (very high chance of aurora in the UK) I scoured the weather looking for somewhere to escape the thick cloud over Aberdeen. This was taken between Portknockie and Findochty on the Moray coastline, Northern Scotland. Most of the night there appeared to be only an arc but at this point we could see rays shooting upwards. It was difficult to visualise well with the naked eye due to the sun not being far below the horizon, and the cloud cover was a bit excessive most of the night but overall definitely worth the trip.
