My 500th Flickr picr!

I'm both proud (that I've uploaded 500 images) of and disappointed (that I haven't uploaded more in six years) in myself after reaching this milestone. Hell, I don't even really like this picture, but I felt I needed to commemorate the occasion.

I stayed outside far too long waiting for the sunset, and it ended up being rather disappointing. My fingers were so cold that they hurt for hours — and I was wearing gloves!

Believe it or not, this shot really wasn't modified all that much. The sunlight and bright color of the flower caused it to appear blown-out, and it ended up like this. I think I like it. Sort of.

After being holed up indoors for the previous 24 hours, you could tell that people were happy to get out and just walk around, marveling at the two feet of snow that fell. With the driving ban just lifted, cars were still few and far between, turning the streets into oversized sidewalks.
