Scud clouds were forming off of the face of El Capitan. A majestic scene!<br /> <br /> Here is my attempt to catch that quiet early morning stillness and beauty. <br /> <br /> I thank the Aperture Academy for getting me to Yosemite. I'm sure glad I did because this scene was what was awaiting me. <br /> <br /> I held my ground waiting for the morning glow to take over the cliffs next to this emerald green pool. <br /> <br /> Six years previously in the hot weather of a mid October day I swam at the base of this waterfall… and it was cold.
