OSAKA, JAPAN - APRIL 4: The Osaka-jo Kouen is a beautiful park all around the main tower of the complex (depicted in the photograph). I like to walk there at night, when you can find all sort of street performers testing their shows.

The park is especially beautiful during the hanami season, when the cherry blossoms render the atmosphere poetic.

I have a print of this one hanging in my living room...

Papal Dinasty in Saint Paul Outside the Walls

In Saint Paul Outside the Walls, there is a painting for each Pope, from Saint Peter to Benedictus XVI. The reigning Pope's painting is illuminated by a spotlight that creates a suggestive atmosphere. In the image you can see, next to Benedictus XVI, the empty socket for the image of his successor.

I wonder what happens when the sockets will end.

On the technical side, this image is an HDR image. I didn't have my tripod with me because I was on a date with my girlfriend (ok, I know, I shouldn't have had my camera too), so it is an hand handheld HDR. Pretty sharp, eh? ;-)

I have a print of this one hanging in my living room...

Muro Lucano Cathedral

This is the cathedral of Muro Lucano, a small village in the south of Italy. The church is fairly old, but its facade has been rebuilt in a modern fashion recently.

The cathedral is annexed to the IX century castle, where the queen of Naples Giovanna I was killed.

This is a 100% natural light photograph.
