The clock tower used to be part of the train terminal for the Kowloon-Canton Railroad. It is now a Declared Monument. The Star Ferry carries passengers between Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, and has been in service for over 100 years. The curved modern building next to the clock tower is the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. The world famous Peninsular Hotel is in the background.

The animated version of this famous painting was on display in the China Pavilion during the Shanghai World Expo 2010. It was projected on a screen 120 metres long and 6 metres high. After the expo, it was re-installed in Asia World-Expo in Hong Kong for display for a limited time. Picture taken by my wife.

Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival 清明上河圖 is one of the top ten paintings in China still in existence. It depicts the civilian life of various social classes in Bianjing 汴京during the Qingming 清明 Festival. This electronic version animated the day to day life of people during the day and night periods. Picture taken by my wife.

They may want to curtail the brightness of lights from buildings, so that they will not ruin the rest of the scenery.

Built originally in 1877 as Fook Tak Tsz. It was expanded in 1874 to give the impression of a temple within a temple, by adding the front gate.
