After a short walk into the Arboretum there's a handy place to stop and admire the view across the valley, if you glance behind you you'll spot the Lucombe Oak, it's been here since the Arboretum was planted in the early nineteenth century. An unusual type of oak because it keeps its leaves all winter.

Excellent views from Coalbrookdale Arboretum, and the woods are full to bursting with flowers and grasses, you can just spot the Coalbrookdale YHA on the far hillside.
