Sophie Digard Scarf

Saw this in a small shop in Daylesford and said "It's like a Sophie Digard scarf." and the shop woman's head popped up and said "It is a Sophie Digard scarf!" and then we chatted about Sophie digard for a bit but I was disappointed to discover these were not actually made by Sophie Digard but the patterns were used somewhere else (Was it Mauritius?) for small scale mass production. I was also surprised to see the squares were sewn together and not joined as they went. The scarf wasn't very long either, only about three feet and maybe eight inches across. $475.00

There was another scarf which was joined along and they looked like capsules in varied orientations of two-three colours with a beige join. Sadly that photo came out awful.

It's not shot in B&W but somehow I fudged it and got this moody, sharp and fuzzy shot. I kind of like it so we'll call it a happy accident. At Bergamo B&B north of Daylesford, VIC.

Test swatch for an Idea I'm working on. I thought about mixing Granny Stripes with Japanese inset flowers. It's working up quick and easy. So far so good! Can't wait to get a bigger project started!

The Parrot Tulip always makes me think of Little Shop Of Horrors. Quite Macabre. I'd have loved to get this with a much darker background.

My corner of the sofa with five projects stashed on the arm next to my bookshelf. The top has three large strogage boxes full of yarn and the rest is needles, hooks, circle looms, kids projects and other bits and pieces in baskets. One shelf dedicated to magazines and printed patterns.

I have small projects for the hot days where I can't stand to have the yarn drape on me and bigger ones that make the colder days bearable. Knitting ones for when my hands cramp from crochet and crochet ones for when my hands cramp knitting.
