The Archivists' Garden, east end of Princes Street

Chris_Malcolm posted a photo:

Not a good shot of the garden because a very dim day and a bad time of year. It's not well known because only recently (2010) opened to the public, and tucked out of sight behind Register House at the east end of Princes Street. The plants have been carefully chosen because of their importance in Scottish History, which is explained in a number of plaques throughout the garden. Also explained is that the garden layout has been inspired by the functional topography of the human brain. I'll have to wait for next year's sun and flowers before passing comment on that interesting idea :-)
