The june 2012 purge revealed the Rhône riverbed. The purge was performed to clean the sediment upstream the Verbois dam. The purge moves the greatest amount of sediment. This higher force results in the removal of sediment and other material from the riverbed and banks of the river, locally causing erosion.

This space, created by students from the HES-SO, is an invitation to the public to enter an ephemeral town, built out of over forty shipping containers, which together will be hosting the various projects conceived by the University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Almost 300 students, teachers and assistants have been taking part in this adventure for over six months.

The Paléo Festival de Nyon, usually just called Paléo is the second biggest open-air music festival in mainland Europe, after the Sziget Festival in Budapest.

The picture shows the Club Tent far left and the large central tent is called the 'Forum' where you can have a drink in one of the bars.

Jonction in HDR

Jonction (junction) is the location where the Rhône (left) and Arve (right) rivers meet. The Verbois dam was openened downstream and the upstream Seujet dam was nearly closed lowering the river's level to the point were I was able to walk along this wall which is actually always under water. You can spot the normal river's level just above the 'problem1' tag.

It's been a while I didn't make HDR. I installed the last version of Photomatix in my computer and chose a predefined profile, enhanced a bit the contrasts with PS and that's it.
