&lt;p&gt;Just a second tier city in China's &amp;quot;wee&amp;quot; new airport. From the security check in at Domestic Departures it is a mere 0.94 KILOMETRES to the farthest gate. The distance to the other way to the International Departure gates is about the same ;-)))&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
As a whole, the building is supposed to represent / depict the hilly countryside carved into rice paddies reaching to the skies. The beams holding up these paddies (the roof) with the people walking about under the beams and roof in the airport symbolically says that China's economy has been held up by rice for a few millennia.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
