Give Her the Fish!

amythyst_lake posted a photo:

Shortly after I took the previous photograph, the male bird took off quickly returned with a fish. He circled the nest a couple of times, but chose to settle on a branch about 50 yards away. Eventually, the female left her post guarding the nest and followed him - first she landed about 10 feet away, and I watched as she slowly she sidled her way up the branch towards her mate. At this point I just wanted to shout "Give her the fish!". He was not much of a gentleman though - as soon as she made an attempt to peck at it, he flew off. With his fish.

BTW, can anyone identify the fish? Looks a bit like a trout to me, but what do I know.

Note added: Thanks to Fish as Art for identification of the Spotted Weakfish.
