My new obsession is a sailboat. Not that I like sea that much, but I love the freedom implied. Being able to travel on a confortable boat, with no noisy neighbors or telemarketing calls. Just water all around, stopping city after city, getting supplies, living just to live. Must be an amazing sensation. And of course, sunrises in the middle of the ocean must be spetacular :-)

The christmas tree sponsored by bank Bradesco that was the reason of this photo trip and the main reason I failed to get the good light on the next shot :-). Nice tree, very colorful and lots of props. Took several shots from different points around the lake but in the end I thought I should had gone in the water and took an up-close and persoanal approach to this one. With a boat, of course.

This is one of the most expensive neighborhoods here in Rio, the square meter here goes from US$ 3.5k to 5k. Of course the view is beautiful and stuff but it is somewhat(?) overpriced for my standards. Anyway, nice place to live.

This is the view that kinda justifies the overpriced square foot on this neighborhood :-)
It is indeed very beautiful, although my picture was not taken on the best day or time. I was too focused in getting a decent exposure of the tree that I failed to see the big picture sooner, my wife had to call my attention to this one. When I took the shot, the good light was already gone.

Friends, I had some issues here trying to wrap everything up for my vacation period and I have been away from flickr due to that. I tried to catch up but had no time. I'll try to come back ASAP, so pls keep posting pictures :-)

As seen from Fort Copacabana. I am now working from midnight to 8am and spend most of the day sleeping :-(. This was one of those days I could not sleep and went on to breakfast at the Fort, on Colombo Bakery. Pretty good food and the view is great. Too bad I was there at noon, but still I got some nice pictures. People on the stone are fishing, by the way.

I shot almost 10 different scenes to be later processed to B/W, but this one was the only one that worked. I guess my B/W eye needs more training :-)

I like it when the clouds slip down the mountains like this. When I was younger I always watched it and wished I had a camera to take a picture of it.

My wife took this one and photoshop played the neutral density gradient filter role. I really liked this picture and I am felling very happy with the growing interest of my wife in photography. For tourists, there is a guided tour to this island ;-)
