Stogursey

martinturner posted a photo:

So I had a camera accident yesterday. I managed to knock over my camera when it was attached to the tripod, snapping my Lee ND grad filter. Thankfully it was only an inch out of the bottom corner so still usable and luckily the camera and lens are both okay. To be honest, I was a bit distracted by the smell of dog poop at the time as I could not locate where it was exactly, and I was sitting on the floor at the time.

Anyway, this is Stogursey Castle, although now just a guest house. No reflections as it was a bit windy, so opted for a lower POV instead (its surrounded by water).

Have to say, I rather like the new larger size on Flickr, but the over-sharpening is very annoying! I have deliberately made this soft to compensate, but if they decide to switch it off the image will be too soft? Bit of a crossroads really.

Have a nice day!

An alternate composition taken at Black Nore Point at Portishead. I must have taken a gazzilion compositions of this log, but this one stands out from the rest; that said, they do have a tendancy to all look the same when viewing in Adobe Bridge.

Whatever you are up to, have a great weekend!
