There were hundreds of these on the island, but they rarely settled with their wings spread to allow a photo showing this view. It took nearly an hour to get this photo.

Ornate Crevice-dragon (I think!)

I think this is an ornate crevice-dragon. It moved very quickly across the granite rocks and its colouring blended in beautifully. It was very attractive and I was sorry that I couldn't get a better photo. This was at Frenchman's Peak in Cape Le Grand NP.

This is the largest example of a goanna that I have seen in Australia, though it turned away and disappeared into the undergrowth as soon as I started to approach it. This was at Holey Plains SP. I was using a 500 mm mirror lens.
