Denver's NFL stadium - currently named Sports Authority Field - last year it was Invesco Field at Mile High. Never been there, no real reason to go unless they'd host an enormous concert :)

Com'on, how can you resist those eyes?! Well, I had to. It was painful, but I had to leave her there, up on the fence where I placed her to stay out of traffic and out of dogs' way. She kept following me on the fence, jumping from place to place and meowing till my heart broke.

Alone Among the Crowd

Street dog in Bucharest. Sometimes you can feel alone even when you are surrounded by people.

This was the case with this handsome fellow. His look is not soft, not the type of look that atracts people and kids to pet him. But he was friendly and once I showed him the raw beef bones I had brought with me in the park especially for this occasion, he was more than happy to come and make aquaintance.

I got strange looks from people around me, usually assuming I'm either:

1. from the newspaper
2. from US :) (despite answering them in Romanian - and no, I don't have an accent when I speak my native tongue - LOL :))) )

But after the initial funny looks, people would stop and comment on how well fed all these dogs were, and be just a little proud of the fact I was taking pictures of the dogs. The overwhelming majority of people are very tolerant of street dogs and, even if most won't stop to pet them, they respect their space and often bring food scraps from home and feed these guys.

More to come of this boy. I actually ran into him a week later in a different part of the neighborhood, about 2-3 miles away from this park.

River Swimming

He's not used to swimming in rivers, especially against the current. I know he's strong, but I always worry a bit about him getting in the water here. I know he's good and it's fabulous practice for him, and he's not scared of it, so I allow him limitted closely supervised experiences. I'm always ready to jump in if needed, drop the camera, camera bag and go rescue my pup if needed :)
