Beached tour boat

A sunset cruise tour boat set sail on Lake Michigan from Frankfort on Monday evening and encountered problems. The boat couldn't make it back to the docks in Frankfort, so the captain purposely beached the boat in Empire. We went to North Bar Lake today and saw the boat along the coast line and walked down to get a closer look.

The girls and I stopped by The Red Ladder in Suttons Bay this afternoon and had a nice visit with Susan and Mike, the proprietors of this wonderful shop. The store is a must-see if you are ever in town.

Construction on the Bloomfield Park Project came to a halt 2 years ago. Since then this unfinished building has sat empty on 93 acres on the east side of Telegraph in Bloomfield Hills. This structure was to house upscale condominiums, posh stores, and restaurants. The project was abandoned in November, 2008 due to the changing economy. It would cost a couple hundred million dollars to demolish and nobody seems anxious to take over completing the job, so there it sits.
