Torre Galfa, Milano

I-DAVE posted a photo:

During an early departure from Milan Malpensa Airport, I took the bus leaving from the Central Station. It was the blue hour between night and dawn, when everything has that blue-and-orange charming colors. We were passing in via Galvani, when I took this shot of the Torre Galfa; I knew it had to be blurried, but when I reviewed the shot at home, I found it had a deep sense of rythm and motion and decided to keep it. By the way, Galfa is 104m high, was built in 1958 by Melchiorre Brega and the name Galfa comes from the initial letters of the streets at its feet: via GALvani and via FAra.

Luigi Bocconi university extension. Details by night (Grafton Architects)

I-DAVE posted a photo:

A detail of Bocconi university's extension (designed by Grafton Architects). The structure is internally enlighted even on Sunday night, hooray! I had some doubt about the cladding, a grey stone locally known as ceppo lombardo, as the city is already dull during the winter time and hazy in the summer due to extreme hot and humidity, but I have to admit that the exstensive use of glass lightens the structure. Good example of high quality contemporary architecture.

Night tour with eletrix, pampero and nicux from Skyscrapercity Italia.

HDR from three different exposures.

This shot was included by D&G in the visual installation in Piazza della Scala, for the brand's male collection's 20th anniversary. An honour!
