Scattered clouds fill the heavens as the sun rises over Bandon, Oregon, causing brilliant colors to erupt across the horizon. Yellows, pinks, reds, and blues glow vibrantly, beckoning the eyes of all to stare at their magnificent beauty. It seems Eos, Greek goddess of the dawn, had her paintbrush ready for a masterpiece this early morning. To accent nature's artistry, we see a rusting lighthouse, sitting steadily in the lower corner, taking it all in, as if enjoying the charms of a long retirement.

In God's hands, the sun begins his descend behind the ocean, taking all light with him. He begins to dim the rocky shoreline of Devil's Kitchen in Bandon, Oregon as the clouds attempt to chase him the rest of the way out of the sky, wishing they could follow him to his sacred place of mystery, just below the horizon line.

The sun rises over the quiet town of Bandon, Oregon, causing lustrous hues of yellow to fly across the horizon, coloring the scattered clouds which fill the morning skies. The river reflects back this vibrant scene as it curves around the bend, passing Coquille's historic lighthouse which sits upon the beach grass nearby, soaking up the rays as it takes in the breathtaking display before it. A solid beam of light once shined from this historic little lighthouse, located on the rocky shores of Bandon, Oregon. Built in the late 1800's, this watchtower now sits as a solid reminder to all of the times of old and a beacon of hope for a brighter future for the eyes of travelers and locals alike. It sits steadily and silently as it watches the river flow to the sea, reminiscing of times past filled with memories of sailors warned and saved from the sometimes-treacherous waters below.

Built upon the rocks of Bullards State Park in Oregon, this historic lighthouse sits proudly as it watches the Coquille River drift by. Built in the 1800's, this beacon has many stories to tell and the energy surrounding it touches the very soul of every visitor. Flooded waters in Bandon, Oregon brought in white-capped waves all the way up to roads leading curious visitors to the stormy beaches. In this photo, we see the water almost up to the base of Bandon's lighthouse as a rolling wave rushes towards you near the base of the photograph. The sunshine we all had been craving finally came out for the day and lit up the ocean with brilliant blues!
