This image is from Namuwongo, the second largest slum in Kampala. Most of the people settled here are refugees from Northern Uganda or Congo. The whole Slum is based on flood land, and in theory all the housing is illegal. There are many problems here, but perhaps the most frustrating for local people is the lack of water. I visited here with a friend who with the help from locals was trying to increase the pressure from one of the natural springs which supplies drinking water.

Grabbed whilst walking past the the closed Wandsworth Brewery, which used to be the home of Charles Young and Anthony Bainbridge from as far back as 1831. Now it sits empty. Like all our industry....!

I had the basis for an idea, but technically didn't get it. I was going to try and lead in to the model, whilst focusing on the padded cell at F4 or similar. It didn't happen! But I like this image, its a harsh look but I have warmed it up a little.

Taken last week on the Ugandan / Congo Border. Normally when a camera appears children love to play, strike poses etc but these 3 were totally uninterested, and this must be one of my few natural shots grabbed. It was in a remote village where the children literally have nothing...

The first model that I worked with, these images are 3 years old! Looking back now, its amazing to see how my style has changed. I prefer shots with a purpose or story now, but still can't deny shes an amazing model. Great first shoot!

This photo is from a set taken at Battersea Power Station. Amazing building, and this is the first of around 10 images. Looking up, its one of the old cranes, now sleeping, with the beautiful broken sky lights above it.

Don't normally upload personal photos, but managed to make it to the roof where they shot the closing scene of James Bond 007 skyfall. That's me there. Forget the film, the view was amazing. Eye height with Nelson Column, the London eye, the River Thames, The Strand.... Amazing. Check out that natural light, Best place I have managed to get to in London by far!
