This place is vast. It really must be viewed LARGE. To give you an idea of scale, I'm stood on the roof of the second storey and them walls at the side are at least 25 foot. That's a friend stood down at the bottom to show the scale and the tunnel to the left is where trains used to come through to drop off bombs. Shortly after being built in the early forties the roof collapsed on the section that is open now crushing a train and it's wagons full of explosives. Luckily they didn't explode. One of the tunnels extends behind me underground for at least the length of the open section another 3 times. Unfortunatly over the last couple of years the crappy gates that were blocking off the tunnel have been replaced with huge steel doors. I will be going back though and am going to see if I can find a way in through the other end of the tunnel as it comes out next to a lake in an old slate quarry. Check out my Facebook
