Binondo/Chinatown has narrow, congested streets with uneven/non-existent footpaths - charming in its own way, until you need to lug bags of groceries any distance along the road in the heat as vehicles hurtle by.

At Zoobic Safari, 3 hours drive from Manila, you can pay to have your photo taken with a tiger cub. Possibly animal exploitation, but I loved it nonetheless!

This monkey is like the ones I saw sitting beside the road as we drove back into Subic for lunch. If I'd wound down the car window I'm sure the monkey family would have clambered inside - they seemed mighty curious.
