A Delicate Nature

I find that nature's delicate creations are some of the most stunning things to capture with a lens. The image is the inside of an amaryllis that is blooming in our kitchen.

This is a handheld shot taken with a Nikon D80 coupled with a Nikkor 18-200mm vibration reduction lens. The black background is poster board and I used the onboard flash of the camera to highlight the details.

By the way - I've had several unauthorized usages of my images and I've now had to resort to the following script on the bottom of each of my images:

The barking green tree frog series continues...

This was taken in our garden with a Nikon D70 coupled with a Sigma 105mm macro lens.

His Royal Highness, The Prince of the Garden...

This is a one-handed handheld shot that I took when this small tree frog jumped atop my thumb while I was photographing him in our garden.

Talk about an unexpected photo opportunity....and you should have seen me trying to steady the camera before he jumped off again.
