Old Harry Rocks from the cliff top. This path across the grass leads out and out until... nothing... it never reaches the other side...

A shot of the beach at Portreath including the cliffs and Gull Rock. We had considered trying to swim out to the rock one day while we were there; it didn't look far, until we climbed the cliffs and got a better look. Its much bigger than it seemed from the beach. Needless to say, we didn't try!

Another from Lizard Point, working down towards the waters edge now. I really enjoyed the untouched rugged feel to the coast in this area.

This really is lands end; these rocks form the very last bit of westerly land on the mainland of the United Kingdom.

Experimenting with hand-held long exposures and a stabilised lens. I need to find some ND filters!

Taken on a rather blustery and cold afternoon that managed to brighten up as soon as we decided to go for a walk to Sennen.

One of a couple of finds on the walk between Lands End and Sennen.

This little birdie posed so perfectly I could hardly not take a photo of it. I'm particularly pleased with the way the fragile looking branch contrasts with the rugged coastline of the area.

Can anyone identify the bird for me?

One of a couple of finds on the walk between Lands End and Sennen.

This shipwreck caught us completely by surprise; we only noticed it on the way back, it was nearly invisible from the opposite side of the cliffs. The ship is the MV RMS Mulheim, and wrecked off the coast at Lands End in 2003.

I just got back from a week in Cornwall and have been sifting through photos ever since, more or less.

This shot of a small cove at Portreath on the north coast of Cornwall was taken peering down from the clifftop. The beach below looks so inviting and private, yet there is no access down at all. Shame really.
