A scenic lake hidden in the middle of Wicklow Mountains, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. Known as the "Guinness lake" due to resemblance to the famous pint, but also because members of the Guinness family owned a large mansion and property on its shores.

A verse written by Oscar Wilde in his poem "The Ballad of Reading Gaol" during the years he spent in prison marks the poster describing the harsh conditions in Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin. Kilmainham Gaol is one of the most prominent places in Irish history, both during the Great Famine, and, later, wars for Irish independence from the British rule (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilmainham_Gaol)

This picture was taken on this year's Good Friday in a small pub in Dingle, Co. Kerry. Good Friday, along with Christmas Day, is one of two days when it is prohibited by law to sell alcohol in Ireland. You can get water in a Guinness glass though :)

US President Barack Obama visited Dublin on 24th of May and gave a speech in front of a packed crowd on College Green. Video beams were set all over the city for those less fortunate admirers who arrived too late.

On a recent trip to Kilkenny, I visited the Black Abbey, built in 1225. It hosts a stunning selection of stained glass windows which create a unique atmosphere within.
