Three gun houses at Charles Hill this area has loads of war buildings and a good view of Inchcolm Island thrown in as well.

Oil, Paint and Coal

This building was used to store oil paint and coal it is straight across from the dinning room (mess) and the toilets again not to much detection work as signs over the doors and the "Oil" door has been knocked down, again nothing in there of interest inside.

Breafoot Fitting Shop and Garage

The far away building has a sign over the door saying "Fitter" and there is no sign over the other building, but to me it looks like a garage door.

Hanging Over the Edge

This building could have been a lookout post or pillbox at Breafoot Battery is built on top of the cliff and it over hangs at the front by about two or three feet. I had a little look inside but nothing of interest inside.

The first of the buildings you come across when you go to Charles Hill Battery is a rectangular building with loads of the roof material now on the floor.

Uneven Floor

The ceiling of the building is now down on the floor, it made a weird noise as I walked over it. (can't think of anything to describe it.)

Abandoned War Building

The buildings at Charles Hill were used in both World Wars, I have no idea what this building was used for. It is on the landward side of the hill and there is housings on the floor and walls for some kind of machinery.

Underground Room

This room lies underground behind the old war housing for a big gun. This room I think would have stored the shells for the gun which overlooked the Firth of Forth. The window/hatch would have been where the shells woulld have been passed through or maybe I am way of the mark and it was used for something totally different.

Pillbox

The last of the stencils I found was on a pillbox half way down the hill on the shore side of the hill.
I will upload some more of my shots from my trip to Breafoot Battery at a later time don't want to put to many on at the one time.

Gun House

Inside one of the gun houses at Charles Hill near Aberdour. Not up on my World War history or what kind of gun would have been used in the buildings a little research required I think. According to flickr map this is in the water but believe me it's not but sure felt like it under foot some of the time with the amount of rain that has fell in recent weeks.
