Dr Mortimer Drives

Not part of the original plan, but on the last performance, Simon the carriage driver was confident enough to hand the reins over to actor Patrick Bridgman playing Doctor Mortimer. He looks happy enough, considering that he does not even have a driving licence!

On their way, past the audience to Baskerville Hall (Peel Castle). Passengers are Simon Kirk as Dr. Watson and Glen Kinch as the newly arrived Sir Henry Baskerville.

Watson: "Blasted Jezzail Bullet!" - Capt. Evans: "Jezzail Bullet? Afgannystan?" The two find they have a history and old war wounds in common. Watson saved Evans' leg from amputation in the Wars. The reference became suddenly very topical post 9/11 with British forces once again heavily involved. I even added a couple of extra lines for the 2007 production (here), but they have not made the final edit of the book of the play.
