Thompson Lake is in the Alpine Lakes area a bit east of North Bend, WA. It's a long day hike of about 14 miles roundtrip. I have not posted a pic in awhile for a very good reason ... my wife and I had a baby boy on the 18th of May! He is healthy and well and doing his best to keep us awake at all hours of the day!

Granite Lakes is located just a bit east of North Bend, WA. The snow is melting and you can see some of the avalanche paths coming down off of the mountain.

Clayton Beach

Clayton Beach is up near the Canadian Border. I went for a hike in the near-by mountains but it was really windy and tree branches were falling all around me ... figured it was a good time to leave. Since Riley (one of our dogs) and I had been kicked out of the house for the day (my wife was holding a baby shower for a friend) ... I headed down to the beach to catch the waves hitting the rocks. Mostly all I caught was water drops on the lens but did manage one or two pics. The tree on the top of the rock is being bent over by the wind.

We got our annual snowfall around Seattle ... a couple of inches but everything shuts down for a couple of days. We took the pups out for a walk and Topper was not to impressed. I took this when we got back ... Topper is wet and probably a bit cold.
