I took this as a sunset just five nights ago - see www.flickr.com/photos/62424671@N03/8619171104/in/photostream and the sun dipped down to the left of the house! Tonight it was so much higher! Spring must surely be on the way but cold winds continue.

There was slight hazy cloud tonight so I was able to capture the sun as a round orb with no excessive glare.

You need to pay a premium to live here, on the north side of the Broad.

The guide book says, "As the southern gateway to the Broads “Britain’s Magical Waterland”, Oulton Broad provides a stunning mixture of open views of broadland, fantastic tea rooms & restaurants, family attractions and a nature reserve."

From these houses and gardens there is a grandstand view of the open water and all the sailing and boating activities, which increase as the summer approaches.

Presently it seems to be taking a long while to approach! We have had cold and overcast weather. This photo was taken on a more changeable day, with sun on the buildings but towering cloud approaching behind them.
