The strange pattern effect on the ground is caused by the low sun shining through a small wood across another freshly ploughed field, which has been ploughed in two different directions!!!
Methinks the farmers are messing with our heads? :)

The old abandoned Ballywillan School on the Beltoy Road up out of Carrickfergus. It didn't look like it would have had too many pupils in its day. The stones above the door say 1859 and National Schools.

I haven't been up to this tree for a while now. I noticed, coming home from work during the week, that the field below it was in flood so today I took a wee trip up to it. Whilst looking for a good vantage point, I came across this sign and thought ".....Surely Not!!!" :)

I stopped by on the way home to get another shot of this tree. Last time I shot it, the field below had yet to be harvested. There were some nice colours in the sky tonight but as I was leaving, I noticed the cabbage field next door had flooded at its edge. A quick hop into the next field gave me some welcome reflections to play with :)

Despite what it says this photo was taken in July last year. There is an older version of it in my stream somewhere which I decided to dress up a wee bit :)
I liked this photo of this solitary grass struggling through and eventually rising above the surrounding barley!!! There's a metaphor in there somewhere!!??

Took a quick "scoot" down past this favourite spot the other night just as the farmer was out trimming hedges at the edge of the field. I always like to ask for permission before going on to their land so approached him as he neared the main road. He must have seen the camera in my hand as before I could even open my mouth he's "Go on ahead....take as many as you like!!. I see these sights all year round. Its nice to see someone photographing them"
That was me off tramping across his field for half an hour :)
Didn't use any textures or mono work for this shot...just different colour fill layers with different blend modes and opacities.....works for me :)
