Arrived on The Faroe Islands a few hours ago, and thought it was in place to post a photo from these beautiful islands today.
This is Beinisvørd, a cliff you'll find on the south island Suðuroy, you can walk all the way to the top if you want to. I didn't get to do that the ast time I was here, cause the wind was to strong, the days I spent on Suðuroy.

A while ago I - together with my younger brother - were asked to make some stills of a theater performance for a friend.
As you know I like doing concert photography when an opportunity comes along, and I approached this session sort of in the same way as I do concerts, but because we didn't it on a rehearsal day, we could stop the actors and make them "rewind" a little any time we wanted to and get the photo we wanted to, and that was very cool, cause opposite concert photography where you have to be alert and ready to capture the right moment in a second - which is also fun - you could take down you camera a sit and watch the actors move around and when you saw something interesting, you just made them stop and rewind so you could have a closer look.

It's defiantly not the last time I've done theater photography.

Here's another one from my trip to north Jutland a little more than a month ago. The name of the hotel is Svinkløv Badehotel, badehotel means "bath hotel" if you translate it directly from Danish, but the real meaning is that "bade" means to go for a swim in the ocean, and well "hotellet" means the hotel, so the name would be something like "go for a swim hotel"

A Nice Sunrise in Any Way

Just before I went on my on my summer trips, I convinced my good friend Tobias, to get up early (4:45am) one morning, and go chase a nice sunrise.
I had spotted these cool looking silos on Amager in google earth and with The Photographer's Ephemeris app for my iPad I knew the sun was rising right in between some of the silos, and tought it would make a really nice HDR photo.

unfortunately we weren't able to get in on the compound where the silos were placed, so we had to find an alternative for silos or just a nice place with a cool view.
What we found was this small jetty, we were able to get on - click the geotag link below, to see where we stood - and from here we had a nice clean view to some wind turbines out on sea.

NB: this is not a HDR, and thanks for lending me your 80-200mm lens Tobias. I badly need one of those.

Arrived in Singapore yesterday morning at 5:00, about an hour later I was entering my hotel, they checked me in, but of course they didn't have a vacant room at that hour, so I had to wait until 2 in the afternoon before getting a room.
Talk about having jet lag. I was totally messed up yesterday - and still are a little - because of the time difference from here and back home, and then adding to that, that I didn't really get any real sleep for 20 hours, luckily I could leave my luggage in the hotel reception and get out and make some sunrise photos and have a look at the Singapore Sunday morning life.

I was up in the northern parts of Jutland for 4 days - visiting my girlfriends folks - a few weeks ago.
We spend a lot of time driving around, my girlfriend wanted to show me the surroundings she grew up in, and I wanted to make some photos - big surprise - and that turned out to be a good combination.

One evening we went to some of the beach areas, for me to get some sunset, to feed my camera, and what a sunset..... well I guess the photo says it all.

The first photo from my ongoing Faroe Islands trip. This is my best friend Brian, made on a short fishing trip a few days a go.
We where sailing back to harbour, when I got this photo of him sitting i the front of the boat, enjoy the calm and quiet trip back.

As I mention before it's at his and his family's house I'm staying while being here. It's very nice of them to let me stay here. Thanks buddy.

A Cold Spring Morning

Second day on The Faroe Islands, and I all ready made around 500 photos and I still got 10 days left.
I'll see if I can process one or two photos in the next couple of days for you, but I much rather spent the time making new ones.

Today's photo is and HDR from Sweden, I made last year on a weekend trip with the photo club.
I had i hard time getting the blue color just right, one moment is was to bright and colorful, the next a bit to greenish, then magenta.
And now when I look at it on my portable, I think it might be a little to magenta again.

Well, I decided to publish it anyway, so you can tell me what you think about it.

Today I got two things I wanna announce.

First of it's my best friend Tobias Bagge's birthday today, Happy B-day Buddy.

Second of, I'm heading to The Faroe Islands tomorrow, to visit another best friend Brian and his wonderful family for 12 days. Really looking forward to it.

The photo above is one I made on an evening photo trip with Mr. Bagge - you can see his photos on flickr - I've seen his photo from the same spot, the only different is that the guys in the kayak are going the other way and his photo is not a HDR.
