The shrine to travellers wishes them a safe voyage (it shows the image of St Christopher, patron saint of travellers). It is on the road out of Dorfprozelten, heading for Fechenbach. It is dated 1629.

The old Löhr family home in Dorfprozelten is now a pizzeria. Juliana Löhr emigrated to Australia with her husband Andreas Diflo from Fechenbach. The Kuhn and Heuster families lived nearby.

Sadds Ridge Rd sign

This battered road sign was found on Gili Gili plantation in Milne Bay, the site of one of the Australian military camps from World War I. It seems that Sadds Ridge Rd was in Charters Towers and we assume that a soldier had taken it with him as a souvenir. See the full story on my blog www.cassmob.wordpress.com
