It's a Trap!

A different composition of the aboriginal fish trap located up near 1770. Normally I wouldn't centre the composition, but feel it works well here in a minimalist sense.

Taken with a haida 3.0 and sigma 10-20. I have since lost the filter, but a new one arrived yesterday. Hope to go and play this weekend for a short period of time.

Rockhopping around Agnes Waters beach, I snapped this one.

I have ordered a new ND filter after losing my last one. Hopefully it will arrive this week, Might be able to do something with it over the weekend. It feels like it has been an eternity since I lost the last one.

A 5 shot panorama of an insignificant local creek. I simply loved the shafts of golden light which were breaking through the tree line.

We have had some great weather lately and I seem to be finding some great local locations I would have ordinarily over-looked.

An attempt at lightpainting or whatever it is called. This was taken atop a cliff in the Brooyar State Forest. You can see by Gary's foot one of the abseiling anchor points.

Atop a cliff in Brooyar State Forest with a friend. Shot a timelapse which I am not completely happy with, I will upload it one day.

We parked ourselves on top of a few abseiling anchor points on the cliff. Unfortunately it was a particularly poor sunset, though it had all the signs of a great one.

Was a great night in any event.

This is one of my more favourite shots I have taken recently. The house appeared abandoned, though I did not venture any further than the front gate. The house itself has plenty of character, though the explosion of colour in the cloud is what makes the image.

A very small but elegant cascade at the local rock pools which I managed to capture on the weekend.

it was very peaceful out here at this time of the morning, no one to bother me. The water was a bit chilly though and the rushing water certainly doesn't do much for the bladder.

Finally got my foggy morning to go and shoot this windmill. The fog is very effective at neutralising what is a pretty ordinary background.

I quite like the simplicity in the shot. I don't think the shed is too distracting, what are your thoughts?

Shot out last night with a friend to shoot some Star Trails over this dilapidated building in the Mary Valley.

The outcome wasn't as great as I had hoped, unfortunately there was a bit too much light pollution around.

Another wonderful sunset. I have previously posted another shot from this location which was quite well received. I infact had a band ask to use it as a cd cover. My exposure was a bit off unfortunately, but not necessarily terrible.

I love the reflected clouds.

I shot out this morning to shoot a different angle of this windmill. I had hoped we had a real pea-souper as it has a terrible background. Unfortunately the fog did not eventuate, but whilst I was waiting I took this shot.

i wasn't expecting much under the full moon, however I think the results are more than acceptable, though I would have like to have been a bit closer to the windmill itself.

A 3 shot pano looking back over main beach. The sheer number of people out in the water at this time of the day was great to see.. It will be months before we see it again I suspect.

A photo I took on a recent "night photography" workshop with the local camera club. I have wanted to photograph this wall/stairs for sometime. I love how gritty and textured it is, the stairs just add to it. Think it could make for an interesting portrait shoot.

A local law firm in my hometown. A striking building which I believe was once a Gold/Stock Exchange. It is one of the few single storey buildings in this part of the street which allowed me to get a photo without the unsightly powerlines running across the front of it.

I am loving my panoramic photos lately. This was from one of the recent spectacular sunsets. I may revisit this property once I get ahold of the owner. Unfortunately I was stuck shooting from the road. I feel the road works well in this, despite leading your eye out of the photo.
