I've been in Washington D.C. this past weekend. If you've ever visited, there are too many places to visit. Its hard to keep track of them all. The one that you can't miss is the Washington Monument. It seems like its always staring you down!

I love learning about lightroom and the little tweaks you can do to really bring out different tones in images. I watched his video 3 times and tried some of his tricks. One technique I tried was taking a Raw shot, changing the color balance to a strong blue, desaturating, 100 percent contrast and recovery, and then changing the saturation on the blue channel. His video will make the most sense of it.

Btw, he also posts other tutorial and videos too. While I certainly am trying to develop my own style, I think trying new techniques is really important in knowing what you can do to the images.

I've been waiting to hop out of the car and take a shot of the Cleveland power plant. Within the last ten years or so, a painter put an oceanic mural on the side and it looks phenomenal at night. Such a neat idea pulled off perfectly. Right behind me is the highway about 2 minutes from downtown Cleveland.
