ist ein Wasserschloss in Dortmund.
Das Schloss ist im 13. Jahrhundert von der Familie von Bodelschwingh erbaut worden und befindet sich noch heute im Familienbesitz.
Zu sehen ist die Ansicht von der Südseite.

Bodelschwingh Castle is located in Dortmund.
The castle has been build in the 13th century by the family Bodelschwingh and it is still their residence. The photo shows the view from the south side.

Schloss Nordkirchen,
das barocke Wasserschloss - Westfälisches Versailles genannt - liegt auf einer von viereckigen Gräften umgebenen Insel inmitten eines großen Parks.
Zu sehen ist die Ansicht der Gartenseite.

Das Schloss ist kein Museum. Es gehört mit seinem 71 ha großen Schlosspark dem Land Nordrhein-Westfalen. Hier erfolgt heute die Ausbildung für den gehobenen Dienst der Finanzverwaltung NRW.

It stands on a rectangular island surrounded by a broad moat-like canal.

This tunnel was a technical sensation when it has been finished in the year 1911.
There are two tubes with a lengh of 426 m (1,398 ft).
It is located below the water table of the elbe in a depth of 24m (80 ft) beneath the surface.

Vehicles are carried down to the tiled tunnels by lifts. Even today the tunnel is used by many peaple for reaching their workplaces in the Port of Hamburg.

This photo was taken at the carnival parade in Victoria, Gozo island 2011 (Malta)
I think she is a member of the aurora dance company.

The carnival and the atmosphere was totally incredible.

Gozo, das ist die kleine recht unbekannte Insel, die zum Staat Malta gehört.
Die Leute der ansässigen Karnevalsvereine treffen sich während des ganzen Jahres um ihren Festwagen zu basteln und ihre Kostüme zu schneidern.
Die Karnevalswagen sind eine wahre Farbexplosion und die einzelnen Vereine haben stets ein Thema zu dem sie gemeinsam auftreten.

Das närrische Treiben wird auch "Il-festa tax-Xitan" oder "Fest des Teufels" genannt, was auf die Ursprünge im 16. Jahrhundert zurückzuführen ist.
Es gibt keine festen Regeln und das einzige Ziel ist es die anderen zu überraschen!
Das Spektakel findet im Februar bei recht kalten Temperaturen statt, was mich wirklich sehr beeindruckt hat.
Der Karneval und besonders die Atmosphäre waren wirklich umwerfend.

Der Kurort Nordseebad Dangast liegt am südwestlichen Jadebusen im Landkreis Friesland und ist Teil der Stadt Varel.

Die Seebrücke ist etwa 400 Meter lang.
Die Originalbrücke ist 1901 gebaut worden. Leider wurde sie 1942 durch starke Eisbewegungen vollständig zerstört. Nach der deutschen Wiedervereinigung wurde sie 1998 wieder rekonstruiert.

It was reconstructed in the nineties of the 20th century after German reunification.

Schacht XII - Zeche Zollverein, Essen.
Die Zeche Zollverein ist ein Steinkohlebergwerk in Essen, in dem von 1847 bis 1986 gefördert wurde. Heute ist sie ein Industriedenkmal.
Die Zeche Zollverein gehört zum zum Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO und ist außerdem ein Ankerpunkt der Europäischen Route der Industriekultur.
