Raindrops keep fallin' on my lens...

I tried and i tried to battle the elements to capture this lovely river and bridge but wind and rain were determined to test me. this is the only shot that is free of raindrops on my lens. A wonderful place I will come back and hopefully I wont need to hide under a rock this time...

Saw this spot on passing during my weekend trip to the highlands and skye, i say in passing as it rained all weekend without stop. Until the day I was leaving when there was opportunity for bright rain free spells. Unfortunately it turned out it was impossible to get down to the bank of this river unless suspended special effects style from a tree, so here is the closest i got without loosing myself in the mud. Thank again to my mum for the company and help.

A weekend trip with my mother to the west coast. Rain rain and more rain was the hallmark, but thanks to some nice umbrella holding on behalf of my mother I had some luck. Even as an Irish person i can safely say I don't remember such constant rain. And to rub it in there was sunshine was dare I say glimpse of 'summer' in Edinburgh :)
Well I enjoyed the trip and this is just one of the places that has me hooked :)

Another wonderful trip with Rennos (RfEdin) in Longniddry. One of many during his trip to edinburgh. While we were off timing for this wreck and the tide I did think the sunset was just too pretty to let slip unmarked. The song 'the river' by Garth Brooks has been in my head since I took this one.

A nice late evening drive after work with Rennos. This was one of the few places close suitable at low tide and was certainly happy to see and share such a wonderful sunset . Beautiful place with lots of potential. Thanks as always to rennos :)

A wonderful photography trip to this absolutely beautiful spot in the Scottish Borders. A lovey few hours spent capturing the highs and the lows (wet feet) of oncoming tides and cloud full skies. Thanks to Dougie (www.flickr.com/photos/dougiew/) for showing Rennos (RF-Edin www.flickr.com/photos/40715570@N06/) and I this spot. A long day spent driving the beautiful shorelines of Scotland, all the way along Cockenzie, Aberalady and to North Berwick, back to South Queensferry and finally across the Forth to North Queensferry and the amazing town of Culross, with of course the best of company and inspiration Rennos (RFEdin).
Such a beautiful spot this, between showers and sunbursts we had some luck, and spent the rest of the time chasing the blue sky across the landscape and dodging the storm clouds. A typical weekend in Scotland.
Enjoy the dodging of the snow showers, and keep those cameras well protected.

Just a shot from a recent trip to hastings with Rennos this weekend, unfortunately I did not have my own tripod nad i think the camera was too heav for what I had and hense there is unfortunately some shake ..but i still liked the idea, especially given how long its been since i shot the sea... thanks for another wonderful trip South RFEdin (you are the shadow in red ;) ) & Happy BIrthday :)

Just some shots for a St. Stephens Day walk up the mountains. Lovely fresh atmosphere and wonderfully vibrant shades of green were evident in the moss, ivy and evergreens (must be all that rain ;) )
