Well...goodbye Bremen. :)
It was fun to live here but four years were ( 2 years ) longer then I actually planned.
After living for four years in Bremen and moving six times within the city I am leaving Bremen for Bochum.
Bochum itself is not big but connects to all kind of other cities which is a pre.
I have enjoyed living in Bremen but I know almost every street of the city and lots have changed and is changing in a way I do not like.
This city does not make me warm nor cold anymore.
..time to go.
I am also tired of Zen and the art of.. titles so this is the last one with this title.

VII. Internationale Radfernfahrt für den Frieden

These are two stamps made to celebrate the Friedensfahrt in 1954.
On the first stamp you can see how the cyclists pass a town or a village and the second one shows the cyclists in the country side.
There have been made 3.000.000 pieces of each stamp and they were officially usable till 30.06.1955.
The first stamp has been stamped really badly and there is no information to be seen where it have been used. Yet I am keeping this stamp till I have a better one.
The second stamp has been used in Berlin on 12.07.1954.

The international ride for peace ( friedensfahrt ) was something like the tour de france but than international socialist version. Also western europe countries have joined.
The tour was 2051 KM far and went through the GDR ( DDR ), CSR and Poland.
In 1954 the single person winner was a Dane and the Tchechoslowaks won as group.
The GDR team used Diamant bicycles and the news about the race was transmitted live into the Diamant Factory in Karl Marx Stadt ( now Chemnitz ).

These are two stamps made to celebrate the Friedensfahrt in 1967.
On the first stamp you can see the city symbols of Warschau, Berlin and Prag
The second one shows the cyclists themselves.

The upper left 10pf stamp has been stamped in Karl Marx Stadt ( now Chemnitz ) on 12.05.1967.
The two 10pf stamps on the piece of envelope have been stamped in Dresden on 12.06.1967.
Rhe 25pf stamp has been stamped on 05.10.1970 in Wilthen.

75 Jahre Weltpostverein
This is very first stamp of the GDR ( DDR ).
I have one un-used mint version and one stamped in Berlin N4 on 28.12.1949.

This stamp has a watermark, was produced in a series of 3.00.000 and was officially usable till 1951.
On the stamp you can see the white dove of peace with a letter in its mouth and the worldglobe in the background.

This stamp is a celebration of the 75th birthday of the Weltpostverein.
This is a bond of all ( or almost all ) postal companies in many many countries.
The reason for this bonding is to make it easier to send mail internationaly and reduce long waiting times.

This stamp has been stamped on 22.07.1986 in Havstein 7000 Trondheim.

The Mouthharp or Jewharp is a fascinating intstrument that I really love since early childhood.
Once I have seen it in a movie where a little boy played it in the steppe.
Since that moment I have really loved this instrument.

The instrument is small and is made out of metal. You place it against your teeth and pull the little lever.
By breathing in and out and changing the shape of your mouth you change the vibrations.
I have tried to play it myself but somehow my teeth are too sensitive for this.

This stamp has really a perfect perfect stamp on it.
These series has been released in 1905 but could be used officially to send mail with till 31.10.1922.
As you can see this one has been used in Hamburg on 13.05.1908

Does anyone know what the 11 and the 1 mean?

I find the stamp here very interesting as it says ''Bahnpost - Zug 3'' Which means ''Train Mail - Train 3''
The name on the stamp says Quackenbrueck and I wonder if the first word before the - says ''Dresden''.
If so then this could mean that the letter that was sent with this stamp traveled by train from Dresden to Quackenbrueck back in ( I think ) 23.06.1915.

You can also clearly see that there were two or more stamps used on this letter.
This you can notice as this stamp has been stamped twice instead of only once.

Today was the last day that I went to work.
I still have some free days and have worked extra hours so now I have a little holiday.
It was fun to work here even with the terrible low wages.
I have survived two winters on this bike and had a couple of very very close encounters with cars.
Nowhere else I have worked for almost two years and if I would have stayed in Bremen longer I would have stayed here.
My colleagues were great and I am definitely going to miss them.
They have gave me a goodbye card with a 20eu card for a bookstore.
I have bought a blank Moleskine sketchbook from that money.

One more week and I am finally leaving Bremen.

7 is my number and luck is my main attribute in life.
This even came out in Russian numerology.
However I am aware of this fact already all my life.

One day I was passing a streetlight and for once I have decided to wait till its green.
Usually I never ever care.
So this time I stopped, waited and when It was green for me, I almost got hit by a car.
The woman did not see me at all and it only took 20 more centimeters or so and I would have probably ended up in the hospital or worse.
A bit further on the street I have found this card. It was just this card, no other card was anywhere else. So I immediately have placed it in my spokes for more protection. xD

Now that I have left this company I am taking my spoke card with me.

Burn the motherfucker!

Arkhipov was a Russian realist painter that lived from 1862 till 1930.
He painted realistic scenes from russian life traveling through the north and white sea area.
In 1924 he joined the union of revolutionary artists and won an award in 1925. He died five years later in Moscow.
I am totally in love with this sheet. The painting itself is one of my favorite paintings ever and the whole as sheet makes it even much more powerful!

This stamp is called ''Turul'' Which is the bird on the stamp.
There have been different re-issues of this stamp (1900-1913) and all issues have different watermarks.
This one comes from 1913 and has watermark. 7Y (Patriarchs cross - sideways).
The watermark is not seen on the scan itself.
The interesting thing about this stamp is that it was stamped in Pozsony.
Pozsony belonged to Hungary but is now called Bratislava and belongs to Slovakia.

The image shows the portrait of queen Wilhelmina.
It seems that the stamp says 1910 yet this is not possible.
And I also susped that the place it was stamped is called: ''Soest''.
