The clouds made for beautiful sunset at Sunset Cliffs with many spectators there to enjoy it. A bird flew into the frame just when I took the photo.

We drove out to Moreno Lake to give my daughter more time on her learners permit (she needs 50 hours). We had only 30 minutes to take some photos as the park was closing. It is a beautiful area and new to us, so it was exciting to visit.

I experiemented with softbox lights we got for interior photography. Our whole backyard lit up with "sunlight tempurature" halogen lights. I manually exposed the flowers to give a slightly softer effect.

I lightened the USD tower and darkened the clouds to add contrast and help the tower stand out.Then I added a mosaic filter for the "painting" look.

I was trying out my new zoom lens and surprised myself that I got a better picture of the flower than with my macro lens. Still learning... From a couple meters away I zoomed in to 450 mm (35mm equiv.)

I took this along a trail in William Heise County Park near Julian CA. I was constantly stopping to sneak a photo in then fast walking to catch up to my husband.

I used pixlr-o-matic to add some effects and the frame.

This was taken just across from Harbor Island of the San Diego Bay. I am loving my new wide angle lens!
