A big 14th century town church with a fairly squat and solid west tower, one of the most noticeable things about this church is the clerestory, its chequered flushwork style is very striking and covers both the nave and chancel, which sit under the same roof, the church has north and south aisles.
The tower has a small leaded spire sitting on top and a fine west window above the west doorway.

Its not often you get to photograph a wild raptor at such close range, though this is cropped, its probably one of the closest i,ve seen one of these beautiful birds.

The church that greets you in the beautiful setting of the parkland of Houghton Hall is a mostly 18th century build, the medieval church dated from the 14th and 15th century but not a lot now remains of that structure.
The aisled church with fine clerestory looks large next to the thin tower, which has crocketted pinnacles.

Quite a plain medieval parish church that lacks any aisles, the west tower has large buttresses making the tower look asymmetrical from the north or south, the tower has battlemented battlements on top and a perpendicular west window.
There is a chapel on the north side along with the porch, another chapel used to exist on the south side also, though that is now ruined

The first of Kings Lynn's trio of medieval churches and it is huge, the long aisled nave is under the same continuous roof as the chancel, the aisles also run the entire length of the building .
The whole church was rebuilt during the late 14th and early 15th century and is really a chapel of ease for the massive church of St Margaret not far away.
The tower is offset to the south west of the nave and has been rebuilt in the late 1800's after the first 16th century one fell in the mid 16th century.

A beautiful little round towered church set within the beautiful Norfolk Broads, the 12th century west round tower has a 13th century belfry stage with a 15th century battlemented top and sits against the flintworked 14th century nave.
The chancel is red brick and was rebuilt in the 1700's after the old one was demolished.

A nice little 14th century church with a small plain Victorian west tower dating from the mid 19th century, the nave is aisleless and has perpendicular windows, as does the chancel, the main porch is to be found on the south side. Inside is mostly Victorian

St Mary at East Bilney is a neat and compact little church with a short square west tower and red tiled roofs on the nave, aisles and porches.
The church is an almost complete rebuild of the earlier medieval one, with a few pieces surviving, like the tower arch and font, but most of what you see outside is Victorian.

A pretty run of the mill aisled and clerestoried 14th century church, the tall west tower has a plain parapet and small corner pinnacles, with nice flushworked buttressing.
The church had its chancel restored in the 1800's and the main porch is on the south side.

A small towerless church to the south of Norwich, St Michael sits quietly in amongst houses and bungalows in the small village of Flordon.
The aisleless nave dates from the 12th century and on the west end of the roof is a bell-cote that holds the bell that once sat in a round tower, the chancel has a 14th century east window and on the south side of the nave is a large porch.

Coming up the small lanes to this church was a nightmare, the arrogant condescending attitude of the posh 4x4 driving snobs speeding and not giving way almost spoiled the visit to this most beautiful church, sitting up on a hill in a neat tree lined churchyard overlooking the lovely countryside.
The neatness of the church with the sharp tower and slate roofs is because the church had a major restoration in the 1800's the main windows are perpendicular style and though there is no aisles or clerestory, the church is very well proportioned and stunning.

St Peter and St Paul is a big solid looking perpendicular parish church that sits in its sizable graveyard.
The tower is somewhat short looking with huge buttresses and small belfry windows, it dates from the 15th century, around the same tome the 13th century nave and chancel was redone, the north side has an aisle and clerestory, while the south side has a porch.

The first time i visited this church it was covered in scaffold, so when i visited Felbrigg i thought i'd grab this one as well.
The west tower is 14th century and lacks buttressing, the parapet is battlemented with fine flushwork with tiny corner pinnacles, the chancel is also 14th century and unlike the nac=ve is unbuttressed.

A small neat church hear Wymondham, All Saints at Wreningham is one of those medieval churches that has had a major restoration, 1853 was the year for this one and the upper part of the tower dates from this period.
The west tower is unbuttressed and quite plain, the nave and chancel windows are perpendicular in style.
