London's Tower Bridge taken from the eastern side. I've used quite a bit of post processing on this, despite the glorious daytime shoot.

Its a great construction and I recall a couple of excellently boozy nights in its function rooms some years ago.

A view over the jamieson Valley in the Blue Mountains, NSW with a combination of mist and (I suspect) smoke obscuring the normal clear view.

There seems to be a bit of 'burning off' in the surrounding districts at the moment.

An Australian Pelican (Pelecanus conspicillatus) head on with its beak (or gob) not so visible. It puts a quite different aspect into the birds presentation - more like a dove or pigeon than a massively gobbed pelican.

One of the mountain goats at Taronga zoo enjoying a little R & R on the top of his rock. Always hard to tell with zoo animals and I am ambivalent about zoos generally, but these goats seemed to be quite content with their lot.

I am pretty sure this is a Fierce Snake (or Inland Taipan) taken at the Taronga Zoo in Sydney.

Low light and too many (very annoying) people made most photos too blurry but this one was OK.

I like the angles created by its decision to climb up the tree.

A Sumatran tiger giving me a baleful stare at Taronga Zoo in Sydney.

Apparently, according to the zoo blurb, habitat destruction, poaching and other interaction with humans has reduced the number of Sumatran Tigers to less than 500.

Palm plantations seem to be the main driver of this. Unsustainable palm plantations that is...... humans can be so disappointing in their disregard for the natural world they share.

This is a view out over the Jamieson Valley in the NSW Blue Mountains taken with my Leica M9. That camera has an ability to pick out and highlight these colourful displays better than my DSLRs.

There's not a great deal of post-processing to this - it was just a great light and a nice trick of nature.
