This is a photo of John Predny with another friend/guitarist on stage in San Francisco @ The Grant and Green Saloon. John www.facebook.com/home.php?filter=app_2392950137#/profile.... He writes, produces, sings, plays drums, Trombone, keyboards, as well as guitar (as shown in this photo). Learned that my friend and his girlfriend were moving from the bay area down to Southern California (Los Angeles) at the end of this month, so decided to get some shots of him with a bit more emotion and feel to em.

Was looking hard for light modifiers besides grid/snoots, wanted a bit more soft of a light. The stage lights were Red and with some test shots a bit to monochrome as well as low on the meter. I gotta get my light bag more in order cuz again my diffuser box and well as a possible gel (to work with the color) would have been my fav choices. Well you shoot with what ya got in the bag! Not much processing to this photo besides cloning out some distracting elements and cropping. Still on the laptop, so until desktop revival that is the best that can be done.

It all began getting out of a band session about 11pm on Fri17July09...supporting a friend who just released his first CD! Then off to an interesting vantage of the Transamerica, and then Coit Tower. This is a Coit Tower shot during the evening (The "TallWhiteKnight" ended up being later that morning, photo below.).

I looked @This photo of Coit in post processing & although it is quite an iconic & beautiful building, I got tired of it always being blocked by trees. Don't get me wrong I do like trees, but the tower by itself just screamed to me to show it off a little. New Night sky with cool clouds & also gave it a interesting "Harvest" Moon. Hope it is not to over the top, but then again why not!

This shot comes from over 2X years ago on a Saturday night in Pescadero Ca. . I recently saw a foggy with streamers shot of this lovely lighthouse from a Photographer friend of mine & I wanted to process a similar shot (...since I was there as well:). Stopped my HD search as soon as these images jogged my memory from this night. Full moon, crazy horizontal striated clouds, and that confounded lighthouse! Nuf Written.

This became challenging to process because of the blow out from the moon. Ended up processing the Raw for the lighthouse & then the sky & combining/layering various elements in PS. I hope U like ?!:-D

The lighting of this house was just starting. Did a B&W as well as this B&W. located here:

Loved the streamers of light & even that character with a flashlight @ the base of the lighthouse doing his thing. The other photographers & their tripods blurred out with their action seamed to ad to the interest in this shot!
