She is dreaming again, or so she hopes as her eyes scan the deserted wasteland about her. But if she's dreaming, then how does she feel the hot wind upon her face and the cracked soil beneath her feet? Never before has a dream taken shape with so many details. Off in the distance she swears she hears a crow call.

Shaking off her doubts she lets the dream take her and she walks for what seems like hours before she comes upon a haggard crone. "Pardon me my good woman, might I ask of thee...What is this place?" The crone turns a pair of eyeless sockets her way and cackles .

"Tis where love comes to die child; the valley of heartache. Tis here that tender thoughts erode and are chased into oblivion by the winds of time. Tis what they call healing, however I label it decay. For tis the erosion of ones soul, the ability to forget."

The old woman cocks her head to one side and whispers... " Look closely child...am I not somehow familiar?"

Who says that a parking lot can't be beautiful? Beauty is where you find it, and on this day twas in the Bastrop Lake parking lot.

So my attempts at long exposure this morning....sucked. (no tis not the shot above) I apparently need a Neutral Density Filter or to shoot at night. I did a two minute exposure and saw nothing but light. *sighs* Another attempt will have to wait until I'm off again, as my vacation ends today. Hopefully I can find a ND filter at a reasonable price by then.
