I took this image the other day purely to practice my blending. That is why the composition includes a fence that I would usually avoid. I have to say I am pretty happy with it. I have only used 2 shots. One for the sky and one for the foreground. I only had about 2 minutes to take this because as soon as the sun dropped behind the clouds it was gone for the day and the sunset was nothing to write home about.

This shot is dedicated to my mate Jay who was tragically taken from us on Tuesday.
Jay had just gotten into photography and was an up and coming rock climber. He had just had his first ever climbing photo published in the most recent Rock Magazine.
Although I had only known Jay for a short period of time we got on Great and he will be missed.

Taken from below Flat Rock in Wentworth Falls overlooking the Jamison Valley.

This shot was taken as Rhys and I walked along the train line trying to find a spot to get some star trails with a train trail in the one shot. This train was unexpected and we both raced to set up in time for it. Rhys dropped his only set of car keys in the rush. We only discovered this at the end of the night when we had to search for them by the light of our phones.

Rhyspope and myself had a massive photography day on saturday and one of the many highlights was the fish steps at Jenolan Caves.

A fish ladder, also known as a fishway, fish pass or fish steps, is a structure on or around artificial barriers (such as dams and locks) to facilitate diadromous fishes' natural migration. Most fishways enable fish to pass around the barriers by swimming and leaping up a series of relatively low steps (hence the term ladder) into the waters on the other side. The velocity of water falling over the steps has to be great enough to attract the fish to the ladder, but it cannot be so great that it washes fish back downstream or exhausts them to the point of inability to continue their journey upriver.

Taken yesterday afternoon at one of my local lookouts. With only light cloud cover we were set for a colourful sunset and as the last intense rays of sunlight blasted over the horizon the sky was already starting to colour up
