Only managed three shots of this Hornet as it got very p**sed off and I didn't fancy being stung!! I was using the 100mm macro, extension tube and 2x converter so was working at very close range. Every time I got too close it would rear up and buzz very menacingly!!

Something a little different, went for a wide shot instead of the usual close up. I quite like it, gives a better sense of scale (for anyone who has never seen a Puffin, they're much smaller than expected!)

Another close up shot of the Puffins on Lunga. Taken handheld with a 70-200 @ 135mm, f/5.6, 2000sec, ISO 400. (I also forgot to have the IS on!)

Sorting through some old RAW files and stumble on this one. Thought it was worth posting up. Used the LEE Big Stopper to achieve a 20 second exposure. The sea spray has created a nice misty feel to this image.

Had the evening free so went over to the north coast for an explore. I remembered this beach and wanted to find it again. The sky wasn't as dramatic as I was hoping but was worth the trip.

This Spotted Flycatcher was busy catching insects by the bee boles at Heligan as I was leaving work. Quickly got the camera and 500 out and managed a few quick shots, handheld. Will definitely go back tomorrow for some better shots! Best viewed in lightbox: press "L"
