Blind corners are common in Japan; and every blind corner has a mirror to help prevent accidents. A bit of an ugly addition to the landscape, but a good enough idea. Hmm... I wonder what is behind these mirrors... Another world to explore.

More plum blossoms :) This one was on another grey day. But increase the background exposure a bit and add a white vignette, and it gives a nice dream-like feel.

The plum blossoms are out more and more everyday, and I am loving it!!

Oh yeah, Lightroom 4 is out too. My god, it is good. It's seriously got me considering abandoning Aperture. This photo is the perfect example. I shot it in the evening, at a very high ISO. The resulting RAW looked horrible -- so noisy you could barely see the photo itself (this may be an exaggeration, but it was bad). Bad enough that I didn't think photoshop could save it and I marked the shot as 1 star (which in my system means pass).

But lo and behold, Lightroom 4 gets rid of almost all the noise! There is still a bit if you look closely, but I also didn't put the noise reduction at 100%. I also added an S curve, some saturation, vibrancy, and dodged the blossom a hair. All in all, about 5 minutes. Faster than it's taking me to write this post. Wow. Aperture needs to play serious catchup here.
