This is the Noguchi designed fountain located in Hart Plaza in Detroit. I almost prefer to view the fountain at night just for the color. Ive seen other colors in the past but this time around it had a brilliant purple glow to it that made it fun to photograph. I was kind of limited in how I could shoot the fountain because they were setting up for the Freedom Festival fireworks but ill definitely be back.

Made a short little trek downtown with Laura stopping off at Hart Plaza and staying mostly around Jefferson Avenue downtown. Between being cold and somewhat uninspired we made it an early night, but I got a few shots that I feel are worthy of posting.

While we were in Hart Plaza I decided to try to retake a shot that I had taken before but alter it enought to give it a different feel. The first shot I took of this vantage happens to be one of my most popular photos, you can see it here. This go round I tried some different techniques, like adjusting the perspective (straightening the buildings) and making it monochromatic. I think it works and gives a completely different feel.
